Carol Korenowski (she/her),
Activist Writer and Speaker

" Be love."
OWNER & FOUNDER OF THERAPY ALBERTA
Becoming Love is not becoming someone new—
it’s remembering who you’ve always been.

Carol’s mission is to become love and end abuse.
She holds a vision of transforming mental healthcare in Alberta by making it more accessible and rooted in compassion—including free private therapy for those who need it most.

She values trust, safety, love, compassion and truth.
In 2025, she surrendered her psychologist title to become a writer and speaker offering presence, voice, and remembrance for community healing.

Carol is a survivor of physical and sexual abuse. She transformed her pain into love and her work is now a devotion to truth and emotional liberation.

Carol’s upcoming book is a story of transformation and faith. Written as a spiral of mind, heart, body and soul memory, it is not a how-to, it’s a return.
Through breath, story, and spoken word, Carol invites readers to sit with love—without fear.
About Carol

Carol was born in Saskatoon, SK, and raised Catholic—an early experience that shaped her lifelong questions about God, love, and truth.

She moved to Calgary in 1998 as a teenager and stayed for nine years. After moving to Edmonton for nine years, she returned to Calgary, earned her Master’s of Counselling, and became a psychologist and trauma therapist.

Today, Carol lives in rural Alberta, where she writes, feels, and listens closely for what love still wants to say through her life.

She is the lucky mother of three wonderful children who continue to teach her the meaning of unconditional love, non-judgment, and mercy.

Carol is the founder of Therapy Alberta and a passionate speaker on emotions, trauma, and the mind-body connection. She speaks with clarity, passion, and a presence you can feel.
