Carol Korenowski
(she/her)
Owner & founder of Therapy Alberta
This is my normal voice.
I became a psychologist and built a group practice, and five years later, I gave it all up and walked away.
I loved being a trauma therapist, but I didn't love people paying to learn about their own mind and body.
Now I write and create videos to help more people for free.
I don't love making videos, but I think people need to hear my voice to hear how much I care.
I teach trauma-sensitive care for professionals and the people they serve, because we can all do better.
We can help each other heal.
Watch the CourseAlberta is my home.
I moved here when I was 14, and even though I hate the cold winters, I’m still here and I love it.
I have lived in Calgary, Edmonton, and now rural Alberta with my three teenagers.
Therapy Alberta started in 2020 as a private practice to provide therapy across Alberta, and now it’s a free mental health library.
I love learning and graduated three degrees with Distinction:
- Master of Counselling (Gonzaga University)
- Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (U of C)
- Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation & Disability Studies (U of C)
I speak to professionals, organizations, teams and leaders about trauma-sensitive care in practice.
